Throughout his career, he has worked with a culturally diverse clientele in a variety of treatment settings, including hospitals, emergency services, private practice, and community outreach programs. Dr. Couto has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as in psychological assessment measures for individuals experiencing emotional, intellectual, and behavioral difficulties. Dr. Couto received his Psy.D. from Ponce Health Sciences University and his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Couto’s rotations during his clinical internship and postdoctoral residency included rotations in clinical and forensic psychology while working with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional, intellectual, and behavioral health issues.
